Eagan's nostalgic recollections of Duluth's victory over Superior in the 1870s for economic supremacy of the region was published in the Duluth News Tribune on February 21, 1904. Eagan practiced law in Duluth after the Civil War; he was city attorney and served two terms in the state House of Representatives. After moving to St. Paul in 1877, he served six terms as county attorney. He was elected to the Ramsey County District Court in 1890, and served one term, 1891 to 1897. The Judge died in St. Paul on January 1911, at age sixty-eight. |
