Ankeny, and was admitted to the bar on June 8, 1887, at the age of twenty-two. He practiced in Minneapolis for most of the next fifty years, concentrating on real estate and insurance law. He died on April 11, 1943, at age seventy-eight. In memorial proceedings on March 21st of the following year, William T. Cole described him as a chess aficionado, active in his church, interested in public affairs---in short, "a good citizen." |
