Cherry (1887-1950).After graduating Columbia University Law School in 1910, and practicing in New York City two years, Wilbur Harkness Cherry moved to Minneapolis and was admitted to the Minnesota bar on March 20, 1912. He became associated with the firm of Carlton & Carleton which evolved into Fish-Carleton-Cherry & Carleton. In 1917 he joined the faculty of the University of Minnesota Law School on a part-time basis, and became a full-time professor in 1925. He developed and taught a path-breaking course on Practice that was acclaimed by law teachers throughout the country. He was active in the Minnesota and American Bar Associations. He died on February 21, 1950, at age sixty-two. In memorial proceeding for the Hennepin County Bar Association that year, a colleague at the Law School Henry Rottschaefer declared:
