Goldsworthy (1889-1956).A graduate of the University of Kansas Law School in 1914, Martin Goldsworthy returned to Michigan, his home state, and practiced law until 1921, when he moved to Minneapolis to work for the U. S. Veterans Bureau at the University of Minnesota. He was admitted to the Minnesota bar in 1922. He was employed in the IRS from 1927 to 1933, when he resumed private practice in Minneapolis. He died on March 28, 1956, at age sixty-six. In a memorial delivered at the annual memorial proceedings of the Hennepin County Bar Association, he was recalled as "a capable and efficient lawyer who treasured the ideals and ethics of the profession. He earned and enjoyed the respect and admiration of his colleagues. His sincerity and devotion to duty won for him the deep and lasting affection of his many friends." . |
