He graduated the University of Minnesota Law Department in 1905, and was admitted to the bar on June 2nd of that year. He was employed by a collections agency before opening his own firm in Minneapolis. He was quiet, serious, perceptive and insightful; he held strong opinions about politics and religion; he studied history; and he had a sense of humor. Above all, he cherished his wife and two daughters. He died on September 12, 1938, aged sixty-one. On February 11, 1939, William Howard Anderson delivered a memorial to him on behalf of the Hennepin County Bar Association. |
