Caldwell took night classes at the St. Paul College of Law, graduated "with the first complete class of the college," and was admitted to the Minnesota bar in 1903. As a lawyer he specialized in real estate and probate work. He became active in the county and state bar associations, serving as Presidents of both the Ramsey County Bar Association and the Minnesota State Bar Association. He died on January 6, 1935. On April 20 of that year, the Ramsey County Bar Association held a memorial service for him. |
