Manwaring (1868-1941).In 1882, a year after he graduated the University of Wisconsin Law School, Louis Logan Manwaring began practicing law in Stillwater. He soon formed a partnership with George H. Sullivan and their firm became known as the leading law firm in Washington County. He served as county attorney, city attorney and judge of the municipal court. He died on November 12, 1941, at age eighty-three. In memorial services in district court the following year, he was recalled:
