Viewing Timothy Ruggles Palmer (1856-1908).Timothy Ruggles Palmer (1856-1908).Timothy R. Palmer was admitted to the New York bar in 1879. Two years later he relocated to St. Paul, where he was a member of several firms until 1902, when he left private practice to become President of Minnesota Mutual Life Insurance Company. On December 3, 1908, shortly after being demoted to general counsel of the company, he committed suicide. On May 3rd of the following year, a committee of the bar, which included William D. Mitchell, a former partner, presented a memorial for him in Ramsey County District Court. |
