Meeker served as associate justice on the territorial supreme court from 1849 to 1853. Sometime after Meeker died on February 19, 1873, J. Fletcher Williams, an early newspaper reporter, editor and later secretary of the Minnesota Historical Society, wrote a short "memoir" of him. It does not appear to have been published previously. |
